After some history about Moordrift and the Anglo Boer War we travelled to Ratho Bushcamps on the border of Botswana. ELEPHANTS at the camp
What a relaxing day it was! Went for a walk on the mountain .. a game drive in the afternoon and saw spotted hyiena at night!

After a adventurous day in Nata we visited the spectacular Makgadikgadi Salt Pans,one of the largest in Africa!. Great Experience!
We arrived at Drotsky’s Cabins where we went for sundowners on the Okavango River! Bird watching … elephants … sitatunga…sunset! .
Fishing on the Okavango , one of Africa’s most incredible wilderness sanctuaries! What a awesome day! Crocodiles.. hippo’s… bird watching.. tiger fish!!
Tsodilo Hill .. Female Hill .. Rhino Trail... Rock Paintings ... rock shelters .. bird watching ..... Crocodile farm .... forest walk! Another great experience with amazing people!
INCREDIBLE!!! .. Flying over the Okavango and off to Namibia we go! Elephants, Hippo's, Crocodiles ... Dunes .... Kalahari! ... what better way to end a day than sundowners on the dunes!!!

What a great start at Kaliombo Tented Lodge @ Karibib!
We had the opportunity to firstly climb the mighty Dune 7. Was challenging and hot, but great fun. Afterwards we also took on the dunes with the quads with our guide Santos!What a great experience!
After we visited the Kristall Galerie in Swakkopmund we went for great shark fishing
in Henties Bay! Shark fishing was a great experience and great fun!
From Henties Bay we took the beautiful road to Solitaire. Solitaire is a small settlement in the Khomas Region of centralNamibia near the Namib-Naukluft National Park which gives warmth to your journey. At Solitaire we had great Appletart which they claim is the best in Namibia! We have seen some camelthorn trees, caves picture-perfect rocks, oryx, springbuck,ostridges etc! We ended the day @ Le Mirage Resort & Spa is probably the most unique construction with the warmest welcome and best servicein the Sossus area.
We visited the unforgettable Sesriem National Park. Dune 45.. Big Daddy dune... Big Mamma dune ...The dunes are an experience of a life time, never to be forgotten! ...fairy circles ... Sossusvlei .. ! Nara vlei ...Deadvlei ... we then took the road to the rustic and historical Helmeringhauzen where we spend the night!
On our way to Luderitz. Luderitz is a coastal town in south-western Namibia. It is well known for its German colonial buildings! As we drove to Luderitz we visited the feral horses and Kolmanskuppe, a ghost town just outside of Luderitz. We spend the night at Nest Hotel!
Entering the Sperggebiet (Restricted area) was a sight to see. We were part of the first 5000 to see the Diamond area. Visiting Pomona which is also a old mining ghost town and Bogenvels was extraordinary!
Started the day on the catamaran with hot chocolate and biscuits! Seeing seals, penguins and dolphins! Then Kleine Bogenvels (where we also caught a glimpse of a whale) ... Grosse Bucht ... Halifax Island .... and the off to Oranjemund ... we spend the night @ Op My Stoep!!
From Oranjemund to Springbok ... Crossing the border ...MacDougall's Baai, Port Nolloth George Moyses, an ex South African Navy diver who subsea mined diamonds from the ocean for many years. He's built up a big collection of local history items and has displayed these in a wonderful eclectic display in his private museum he is a colourfull character and a good man - straight down the line and one of those gems of the Diamond Coast .... then off to Springbok where we spend the night @ Springbok Inn Hotel .. amazing staff who walks the extra mile ... BRAAI...

From Windhoek to Lambertsbay! What a lovely lunch we had at Isabellas Restaurant Waterfront Lambertsbay ... we checked into Grootvlei Guest Farm and had a great dinner at Melkbosskerm Lambertsbaai ... what a experience!
After a great breakfast ... off to Fransschoek ... Bushman paintings ... caves
... more flowers ... amazing scenary with Proteas, Araceae, mountains .. and also seen the longest train in our entire lives ... about 600 carts! We spend the night at Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge and went for dinner @ Village Grill & Butcher!
Nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape winelands lies the magnificent Franschhoek Valley! We started the day with a journey by tram to the local wine estates where a knowledgeable wine guide weaves the facts, figures and scientific aspects of winemaking into interesting stories about Franschhoek’s history of wine and cultur! ... 3 course lunch ... cellar tours.... tasting... ended the day at the lodge with lovely cheese platters at rhe fireplace while it drizzled outside!
On our way to Cape Town! Cape Agulhas in South Africa is the most southern point of the African continent and about 150 km east of the Cape of Good Hope! Ostridges .. penguins ... ended the day with a great dinner ... last dinner of NAMSA Fox Trip
Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Going up in the cable car was a great experience! Unfortunetly Table Mountain was covered with clouds the whole day! We ended the trip with a great lunch @ Café Orca in Melkbosstrand ! Steve had a beautiful blue nose with a spicy maroccon sauce and Gaynor had fantastic Crayfish!
